On a frigid New Year’s Eve in 1922, brothers Fred and Ed Morath chose adventure over celebration, climbing to the summit of Pikes Peak to ignite fireworks for the city below. The pair, joined by three fearless companions — mountaineer Willis Magee, trail builder Fred Barr, and photographer Harry Standley — forged a daring tradition at 14,115 feet.

A century later, their legacy endures as the AdAmAn Club defies brutal cold and high-altitude storms every December 30th and 31st, lighting up the sky to welcome the new year.

Since 2015, Windstar has documented the club’s modern climbs, culminating in their 100th anniversary and capturing nearly a decade of ascents. Blended with historic archival footage, 36 interviews, and vivid reenactments, this long-awaited documentary reveals the origins of a century-old tradition — and the people who keep it alive.
